This morning, when I opened The Bat, all the Read messages in the
Inbox were gone. I did a Search for known senders and it did not find
any missing messages.

Rebuilding the Inbox message for that account didn't make any
difference.

Some important items have apparently been lost.

I have been noticing for a week or so that certain groups of messages
would disappear from the Inbox, and I have meant to ask about this on
the list. Losing all the Read messages in a mailbox has prompted me to
action.

I haven't made any changes to my machine or the way I use The Bat!, or
added any software involved with email.

I use some filters, but to my knowledge, I do not have any filters
configured that could explain this. On the other hand, some sort of
major bug in the filter system might be involved.

In a seemingly related incident last week, my daughter, who is also a
Bat user reported that all the messages in her Known Inbox
disapppeared.

Whatever is happening here is obviously intolerable. I hope someone
has an explanation and remedy.
