Thanks!  That did the trick (I think)!  I didn't realize, I had to delete the original 
quoted message before typing c<Ctrl+Shift>.  What I did was highlight the original 
text, then typed c<Ctrl+Shift>.  Is that right?  If so, what does the %clear macro do?
