I presume you posted your original message from your desktop PC on your home network; i.e. Windows XP? Please explain briefly how the network is set up as this will help. Also, where is thebat.exe located; i.e the installer? S> In place of the word "desktop" is the name that I assigned to the desktop S> computer on our in-home network. Is this a S> network problem or is it a problem with the way in which I configured The S> Bat? You will have to setup a workgroup for your network; e.g. MSHOME. And in the workgroup you have at least two computers: DESKTOP and LAPTOP. If you share a folder called 'THE_BAT!' (in My Documents) it will be known as \\DESKTOP\THE_BAT! on your network. You need to copy the installer (thebat.exe) to this folder. Note: shares cannot have spaces in their name. Now, from your laptop you need to open 'My Network Places'. If you've set up the network correctly you will see a folder called 'THE_BAT! on DESKTOP' (or similar). Open the folder and copy thebat.exe to a folder on your laptop. Now you should be able to run the installer without problem. If you can't copy the file across... there's a network problem that needs sorting first. - -- As ever, :Martin_Webster: Jabber mjw | ICQ 15893823 | PGP Key ID 0xD644460D The Bat! 2.12 Beta/1 | BayesIt! 0.5.5 (Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP SDK 3.0.3 Comment: "PGP Key available from ldap://europe.keys.pgp.com/:11370" iQA/AwUBQNH7KTknq5PWREYNEQJ5agCfWEYavJEH9MSj+z5aUR+1aF2RXTEAmwUe dX9E+SCx8eb5H6ObD/F3f+Dl =F3fN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
