Hmmm. Upon checking, it would seem we are both right. I ran the test again and manually ran test filter 2 on the message after being filtered by test filter 1. It ran, but after a long pause. I changed test filter 2's matching criteria to a string match, rather than a colour group match. Both filters worked one after the other on the next test.
