Do a clean install. TB will ask whether to setup an account or to
restore a back-up.
When you've done so, do a 'purge and compress' for all folders. The
symptoms you're describing are that you haven't done that as often as
you should.
When purging and compressing won't do you any good, create a bunch of
new folders. Move your messages to the new folders. Close TB delete
the messages.tbi and messages.tbb files from the directories
corresponding with your old (and corrupted) folders.
Restart TB and move the messages back to their original folders. This
procedure should take care of any corrupted folder you've got.
As a general directive you should not keep any messages in high
traffic folders (like the inbox), as those are most prone to
corruption.
It's also wise to purge and compress the message bases on exit,
configure your setting accordingly.
Apart from installing TB again, you could also try this.
Close TB
Move all subdirectories of your accounts to another location, take
care that the account.* files are being kept in their original
directory.
Start TB
All folders will be recreated, since they're defined in your
account.flx files.
Now none of your folders are corrupted, since they're empty.
In order to fill them again select a folder and pick in the menu:
Tools -> Import Messages -> From The Bat! Message Base -> Browse to
the place where you moved the messages to.
Repeat this procedure for every folder with messages you'd like to
restore.
I think it's likely that this will help too, even though I never tried
it. (Never had any corrupted message bases to practice.)
