Dear TB Users

I've been using TB for about three years now and I'm very happy with
the product, it has some great features.

Like a lot of people I suffer from the scourge of SPAM and get about
200 a day and I have been using Mailwasher Pro with quite good
success.

But, my biggest gripe is that its yet another program that I have to
run and manage, so I thought I'd give the TB plugins a go. I've been
trying (at different times) both Bayes Filter and Bayesit.

I have to say I'm not impressed. Just how long does it take these
programs to work out what is and isn't SPAM? I've been using Bayes
Filter now for approx 4 weeks, marking all messages that come in which
are and aren't spam, but it just doesn't seem to get any better. I
would say it misses approx 50% of the spam that comes into my mailbox.
I'm using all aspects of the program, other than the DNS checking,
that just takes too long, I've imported my regexp from Mailwasher and
I'm using black and white lists, and I have to edit those every day.

OK, if anyone knows how to get these plugins working effectively and
would care to share their knowledge with me I'd be very pleased to see
it.

I think both programs make the assumption that the end user knows all
the ins and outs of spam detection. I for one don't, but I would like
to see some step by step instructions with explanation for setting up
these programs.
