Hello TBUDL, I have just started to get to grip with the Message Dispatcher even though I have been a Bat user for a couple of years. As I understand it from the help file, the Message Dispatcher allows you to view the messages on the server, (e.g. when using a laptop on the road) without having to download all the messages. You can then selectively download only the messages that you are interested in. This would be very helpful since we receive about 100 messages a day (mainly spam) and hence the server fills up very quickly. So if I access the server in the normal way, I will have a long download of largely rubbish into the inbox of my laptop (which does not have all the filters to get rid of spam that my office system provides).
The problem is that it does not appear to be possible to view the server messages using the MD without also triggering the download. The 'Configure Account' settings only seem to provide one option in Mail management which is to invoke Message Dispatcher automatically at each mail check. This would also cause all the messages on the server to be downloaded to the laptop inbox which I am trying to avoid. Also, there are a number of options within Message Dispatcher that are not explained in the help file. Is there a more extended discussion of how to use the feature elsewhere? -- Best regards, David Embrey mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.51.10 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
