I have experienced the same sort of problem. I uninstalled Acrobat 5.0
and installed Reader 7.0. Now if I receive a PDF attachment the icon
displays as no file association. If I double click the icon is opens
normally as it is associated to Reader 7.0. Like you stated it is not
a big problem but it would be nice to know what is happening here.
