I went in and deleted all TB folders (keeping a copy of them) and deleted all registry entries. I then reinstalled the program from scratch. It ran. I then restored the registry entries I had exporting from my other computers. TB still ran although, of course, I did not have any of my old mail in it. So to restore the old mail I copied over my attachments folder and mail folder that I kept a copy of. TB now hangs and won't run. So the problem clearly relates to the old mail folders.
