Well its a little bit late now. Basically I did a backup of TB and then formatted my machine and reinstalled Windows. Having done so I restored TB, which went fine. However whilst the data and some of the settings were preserved most of my settings were not. Now I'm guessing from what you say that they are stored in the registry, however I've also read something about user specific settings being stored in tbuser.def which I also restored.
