You could try renaming your mail directory to see if that is causing
the problem. TB should recreate a new directory and then you can copy
files over until you find out where the problem lies.
Thanks for the suggestion Stuart.
As I was looking trying to locate my mail directory to rename it, I came
across an except.log file there. Here are its contents, in the hope
they will help you or someone else help me with this issue.
It said: "v3.80.06 05:14:01/05:14:01 8/5/2006 05:14:01
ThdInitVFolders:Can't perform initial update EAccessViolation Access
violation at address 008C59E0 in module 'thebat.exe'. Read of address
025D4004."
Does that ring any bells for you?
Now back to renaming the mail directory. All the account folders are in
c:\Documents and Settings\Perry Nelson\Application Data\The Bat!Pwd.
Are you suggesting that I rename The Bat!Pwd to something else and then
try to open The Bat! again? If not, can you tell me where the mail
directory might be if this isn't it? I accepted the default locations
when installing the program.
And just for the record, although I am posing these questions to you
because you responded, they are really intended for anyone who might
know the answers. I don't mean to put you on the spot.
