Thanks for that suggestion, Mary. I thought about doing that, but
haven't done so because it doesn't seem to me that this is really a beta
issue. I know that Marck, Roelof and Leif monitor this list, so I'll
ask now if any of you moderators agree that it would be ok to post this
problem on the beta list. I've been a reader there for a long time,
though I don't participate in the beta testing.
My own belief is that my question is more appropriate to *this* list,
and I am hopeful that the additional information I posted in
mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] can lead to a resolution. (I hope that
mid: reference works; I made it by hand, so I'm not confident that it
will.) If this problem can be resolved, then having the resolution on
this list would work to the long-term benefit of any future users who
faced a similar difficulty if they searched the archives.
I think I'll give folks a little more time to digest that previous
message and perhaps come up with a recommendation.
