That did it. After checking "Hide items" in all the groups, I was able to delete duplicates and have one listing for each person remain, showing up both in the root list and in the group list(s). The address book is still a bit confusing to me, but you've helped me clear up all the immediate problems. Has the address book been changed in any significant manner in versions later than the one I'm using: 2.01.3 Business? Thanks again for all your help!
