Every Intel CPU since at least 2 years (maybe 3, i do not remember) is 64 bits
ready (EM64T), even celeron, you do not need to wait the Core 2 :)

It's why i request if a 64 bits version is *planned*, it should be in the
project of any serious programming company today...

I do not request the end of the 32 bits version, i know that many users still
use 32 bits OS, but at least propose a 64 bits compiled version.

Why do users prefer the 32 bits version of the OS ? Because there is'nt any
serious apps yet, causing many compatibility problems (look how many 32 bits
games does not run correctly under the 64 bits version of XP/Vista).

On my system i keep a dual boot with 32 and 64bits OS because i do not have the
choice, i would really prefer to use only one OS and not reboot every time to
switch to another program... and this OS should be the 64 bits, thus i request
when i can 64 bits versions of the softwares i use to make the evolution to 64
bits quicker... if enough users use and requests 64 bits, the developpers will
follow.
