OK, this makes it clear. UKP does not exist any more, if that website
is to be trusted. I haven't seen UKP for a long time.

Neither have I seen ITL for the Italian Lira for a long time (they use
EUR now), but I have certainly never seen the Pound-sign for it.

That's internet TLDs, not to be confused with currency abbreviations.
