In XP you could open a command window and type (for example) CACLS "c:\Program Files\The Bat!" /e /g Everyone:F You probably need to be using an "admin" account to do this. I suggest it is better to use a location where you already have write permission for the mail folder. The default of %appdata%\the bat! would seem to make sense.
