The story without the details of the switchover, the free Vaio laptop, the horror of Vista, and the incomplete restore of TB! from the external harddrive, is that two folders didn't come over. It was one of those lost folders I would like to see now (all my program registrations, sn#'s, etc., including TB!) and I just *know* they are there in that backup. Needless to say, since that horse is out of the barn, I've switched to storing that information in NeoMem: http://neomem.org/ M> After I had purchased Second Copy I discovered SyncBack freeware that does M> pretty much the same. M> http://www.2brightsparks.com/downloads.html#freeware Thanks for these two links. I will check them out. I wonder, would it be a possible thing (programming-wise) to add a partial or selective restore function to TB! Or, even a partial backup function? I'm probably not the only one who would have use of it. If it is not possible to do, I wouldn't bother wishing then. :-) -- Regards, Maggie ____________ "Don't tell me what I am doing.
