It wasn't the case here, though, these were working folders, that just disappeared. The folders that kept "coming back" had funny names; the fist instance was called <folder name>;2FS and the next was <folder name>;3B 2FS. Third was <folder name>;3B 3B 2FS and now you can see the pattern for the following "recovered folders".
