Hi All, I have a question regarding re-assigning the roles of various workstations running TB!. A little while ago I set up TB! in a friend's small office. The current setup has all TB!'s mail folders on "Computer1" while "Computer2" and "Computer3" are pointed to that location (i.e. All instances of TB! configured as "Standalone").
While this setup does work it has a few drawbacks. For instance, if a user on "Computer2" (or "Computer3") exits the TB!, TB! will start compressing the mail folders on "Computer1" even though "Computer1" and "Computer3" are still running TB!. The other drawback is that 3 copies of each email are downloaded to the main mail folders on "Computer1". Obviously each copy of TB! downloads the emails and stores them in the main mail folders. I have investigated and found that TB! can be setup in a more traditional "server/client" configuration, but am having trouble locating the proper area for doing it. When I go to "Options/Nework & Administration" I get a window with the following tabs: "Network, Privileges, Groups", but don't see any option to change the mode (i.e. from "standalone" to "server" and from "standalone" to "non TCP/IP workstation"). I'm sure I'm just missing it, but for the life of me I can't find it. Any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated. -- Best regards, NickOhare ________________________________________________ Current version is 4.0.24.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
