On that dialog in Preferences, highlight the .bav entry and click the
Configure button. On the resulting dialog you'll see a "certify"
check box. Make sure it's checked, then click the "Details" button which
will show you the text of the messages it will add.

It still might not work; I'm using AVG 7.5 Pro here and have the box
checked, but I don't always see any messages appended...
