I use TheBat 4.0 Pro (but I am not using it to create this message -- long story and not relevant to my question).
How do I determine whether upgrading to 4.2 is free? I have no record of a registration code for 4.0, and I am normally very careful about keeping a record of registation codes. I can find a serial number in TheBat's Help>About. I also have a longer serial number that must be for 3.0. The download web site states, "The Bat! version 3 registration keys purchased before November, 20, 2007 are valid for The Bat! 4.0 but not for 4.2, according to the upgrade policy published on November 7, 2007." The 4.0 .msi file on my computer has a date of August 25, 2008, if that helps. Thanks, -- Leonard S.
