I agree that "config" doesn't really seem to get at what these really are. They are really a package of configuration and code that gives you drop-in integration with some 3rd party project, right? Plugin may be too heavily overloaded these days but it seems like the right direction.
Brainstorming here.... Descriptive words (in place of config): - integration - plugin - mix - link - fuse Container words: - bundle - pack - kit - mod - kind of like "pimp your terracotta" :) So, mix and match these to find something fun: - plugin pack - integration pack - mix mod - fuse kit Hours of fun... or maybe something more marketing-ish that plays on the terracotta idea. Terracotta as a base with the ability to add pre-built things on top of it...not sure what that would be exactly. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geert Bevin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, August 17, 2007 8:39:57 AM (GMT-0600) America/Chicago Subject: [tc-dev] Renaming config bundles? Hi everyone, I'm starting to think that config bundles are wrongly named. They containing more and more custom code and are not solely configuration anymore. Maybe plugin bundles are a better name. What do you think, any other ideas?
