Hi, today I talked a bit with Alex about some concerns I had to use JMX for transferring all the statistics data at the end of a CVT capturing session. This, as opposed to the currently not required real-time mode, will cause quite a large dataset to be transferred between the nodes and the gatherer.
I searched a bit on the web and found this: http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/best-practices.jsp#mozTocId688125 Seems that it's not recommended to do this through JMX, however on TSS someone said he never had problems with this (http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=34581#174747) Does anyone have first-hand experience with transferring large amounts of data through JMX?
