With support from our sponsors, Army Research Office, Sandia National Laboratories and Tom Sawyer Software, we will be able to provide a few student travel grants to the attendees of the NetSciCom workshop (http://www.ieee-infocom.org/2012/netscicom/). Although preference will be given to the students who will be presenting their paper at the workshop, it is not essential that a student be an author in order to receive a travel grant. However, registration at the workshop will be necessary to be eligible for a student travel grant. A few of the awards require U.S. citizenship. However, not all awards have this requirement. If you would like to apply for a student travel grant or nominate a student for a travel grant, please send a mail to Prof. Arun Sen ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) with the following pieces of information.
1. Name of the student 2. Degree program and current status (beginner/advanced) 3. Institute 4. Advisor Name 5. Advisor recommendation (The advisor should send a short recommendation to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) 6. Whether or not the student will be presenting a paper at the workshop 7. Amount requested (please provide an explanation for the amount of request) Please send the application for the travel grant by Sunday, March 25 midnight PST. We plan to send the notification to the awardees by March 26. Thanks, Arun Sen _______________________________________________ IEEE Communications Society Tech.
