Dear Colleagues and Students, The First GENI Research and Educational Experiment Summer Camp will be held at Rochester Institute of Technology on May 29 - June 2. We are currently accept applications. General Description:The Global Environment for Network Innovation (GENI) infrastructure is becoming a mature virtual laboratory for exploring future Internet at-scale. It supports at-scale experimentation on shared and heterogeneous GENI resources among multiple users, permits users deep programmability throughout the network, and offers collaborative and exploratory environments for innovative research and education. See www.geni.net for more information. This summer camp provides participants with the opportunity to learn and use the various tools available GENI through tutorials, labs, and a team-based project. Undergraduate and graduate students and faculty at different-level colleges are welcome to apply. Overview:ü Introduction to ProtoGENI and PlanetLab resourcesü OS installation and configuration for GENI experimentsü Familiarity of OMNI tools and introduction to Flack, OpenFlow, and PrimoGENIü Gain hands-on lab experience with multiple GENI resources and use them to develop a team-based project Application: (1) Your resume including name, gender, country of citizenship, title, and, if a student, current year in degree path and when the degree is expected; (2) A short description of why you are interested in the summer camp, your expectation, and, if applicable, your experience with GENI; (3) For student applicants, a support letter from the student’s advisor is needed to confirm the expected benefits to the applicant; and (4)An estimate of travel cost.
