Université Pierre et Marie Curie, through its foundation and under the support of Renault and Atos, is calling for applications for the opening of a Chair of Excellence in "Context-aware computing for vehicular communications". This is a full-time position for a 5-year period starting in 2012.
The researcher will conduct internationally-leading research on the design, modeling, analysis, and implementation of context-oriented services towards scenarios including users, their vehicles, as well as any other element belonging to their communication sphere. We are seeking candidates with a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field and a proven record of independent research excellence in the fields of vehicular networking, communication protocols, modeling techniques, characterization of dynamic systems, and practical implementation. The chairholder will conduct full time research at Université Pierre et Marie Curie and will be a member of the LIP6 Computer Science laboratory. The chairholder will also contribute to the teaching activities (64 hours/year) of the group and will eventually propose new courses related to the area of the chair if need be.
