Joe, With your replies you achieve the following: 1) doubling our email traffic on issues we are even less interested in; 2) making us actually read the CFP which otherwise we would not have read (and thus giving an incredible marketing boost to these events).
I understand your rational but I think we should look for a more pragmatic solution. I have a proposition: Create a separate mailing list [email protected] with exactly the same members of TCCC where all CFPs have to go (with a less strict policy) and where all members have the right to opt out if not interested. Anybody who posts a CFP thereafter to tccc@... will automatically be removed from the tccc list. The TCCC list will then be used for technical discussions, announcements of TC meetings, etc. Mischa. __________________________________ Dr Mischa Dohler IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer Head of Intelligent Energy CTTC, Barcelona Tel: +34 936 452 909 Fax: +34 936 452 901 Mob: +34 679 094 007 www.cttc.es/home/mdohler __________________________________ On 25/06/2012 19:58, Joe Touch wrote: > This post is off-topic for this list. > > I'm posting to the entire list *again* for this meeting. > > Future posts from this meeting are being filtered (hopefully). > > Joe (TCCC Chair) > > On 6/25/2012 1:51 AM, qi fang wrote: >> FCST 2012 - 12 SCI/EI special issues approved and more later - One >> week to the paper submission deadline (June 30). >> >> Call for Papers: >> >> The 7th International Conference on Frontier of Computer Science and >> Technology (FCST-12) >> >> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >> Organizers: >> School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, >> China >> School of Computer Science and Technology, Soochow University, China >> >> >> Venue & Dates: >> Suzhou, China, November 21-23, 2012 >> >> >> Technical Co-Sponsorship: >> IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE TCSC >> >> >> Conference Website: >> http://trust.csu.edu.cn/conference/FCST2012 >> >> >> 12 SCI/EI Indexed Special Issues >> Please check "Proceedings & Special Issues" at the conference website for >> detail >> >> >> Paper Submission: >> http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=fcst2012 >> >> >> Introduction >> >> Welcome to participate in the 7th International Conference on Frontier >> of Computer Science and Technology (FCST-12), Suzhou, China, November >> 21-23, 2012! >> >> In ancient China, Suzhou was the Capital of the Kingdom of Wu from the >> 12th to 4th centuries, B.C.
