Special Issue on Online Social Networks Networking Science journal www.springer.com/journal/13119 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Original, high quality manuscripts are sought for a special issue on the theme of Online Social Networks. Internet is used to support more and more social activities, such as chatting, public discussion, sharing photographs with family and friends, and sharing and propagating news. Other activities, be it online games, interactive TV, online shopping and tourism, or even academic publishing, all have a social-network aspect in them. Due to the opportunity in measuring, modeling, and analyzing these online social networks, there is great interest to study them for all kinds of purposes. Engineers want to find out how to improve system design and offer more features; businesses are interested in marketing and advertising opportunities; all kind of social science scholars can find things of interest to them. Topics of Interest: Our aim is to bring together a collection of related new contributions to this inter-disciplinary area of research of current interest.
