I'm no Mac fanboy, that's a given. But I do appreciate people with power to innovate and create spaces and cultures where people come in and can have a fresh air. I do have some ideas for a geek (coffee) space in Lisbon, but that's another story.
Yet, despite all my rants about Macs, I've decided to buy a new laptop, right after my old one almost died -for the third time this year - and I need some decent tools to work while in TheNextWeb conference, in Amsterdam. Obviously in my shortlist there was Macs, as HP's, Toshibas and LG's. After a long decision I've opted for a 2007 Macbook (3,1 revision) on promotion in FNAC. Long story short, it was the best buy in that price range. Still, no regrets so far. What's this got to do with the fashion store ? Well, buster ... and fanboys, there will be a new and unofficial "apple store" in Lisbon, with the same culture, furniture, design that every official store has. And what I have to do with that? Well, I was invited for the opening, as probably everyone on the "Correio dos Outros" mailing list had :) But that's not important now. I'll welcome this new store, as the "manager" for this space is Pedro Aniceto ( http://www.prt.sc/members/PedroAniceto/ ) and obviously will have my support and endorsement, since I've heard that the store will promote the apple culture between workers and consumers, and will not be like some supermarket for Macs, with the plus of having a pretty decent space and auditorium. Nevertheless, don't you forget that I'm no mac fanboy but quite the opposite instead. Without no more delays, here's the promotional flyer: http://paradigma.pt/~vd/files/convite_tb.pdf See you there. PS: wondering if they'll have some kind of outlet for macs (refurbished?) and iPhones. //VD _______________________________________________ tce mailing list [email protected] http://lists.paradigma.pt/mailman/listinfo/tce
