As we begin, I'd just like to remind everyone that all posts must include a member's e-mail address and be signed at the bottom with their real full name and city/county. Also, no member may post more than twice a day. It would be useful to get to know one another by introducing ourselves to our fellow list members and the specific Metropolitan issues and/or interests you have. I'll begin: My name is David Erickson and I'm your list manager. I plan on being a fairly hands-off manager in order to let your conversations evolve as naturally as possible. I'll pipe in occassionally if discussions go beyond TC Metro's charter and I'm here to help resolve any problems that pop up. I am a resident of Fridley but I will probably be moving to St. Paul in the near future. For most of my adult life, however, I've lived in the northern suburbs. Some background: I have been a participant in E-Democracy forums and done volunteer work for E-Democracy for a number of years. I publish a Web site that covers Minnesota politics called MNPolitics.com and I have a radio show on KSTP AM, called Inside Politics in Minnesota. I also run a company that does Internet strategy and marketing. Some of my burning metro issues are sports stadia and light rail transit. I look forward to hearing from all of you.
