Hi there! I was interested in getting some information about the proposal to
adopt a law to allow Minnesota's permission to carry a concealed weapon. It
is my understanding that this bill failed on a tied Senate vote in
committee. I do not know if it passed in the House side. I also understand
thathe Sheriff's Association is supporting a "compromise bill" which would
give Sheriff's and Police Chief's discretion to issue concealed weapons
permits. Am I on target or can you educate me more?

Subject: [TCMetro] Introductions

Hi, my name is Tim Erickson.

I manage the St. Paul Issues Forum, for Minnesota E-Democracy and run
my own discussions on the Politalk Web Site
(http://www.politalk.com). Although, Politalk has been pretty quiet
lately.

As a citizen of St. Paul, many of the issues that I am interested in
are METRO issues and better discussed on a Metro wide basis. Things
like Stadiums, Light Rail, and Affordable Housing are issues that we
need to deal with Metro Wide.

I look forward to seeing what kind of impact that this list can have
on Metro Wide issues and am really interested in seeing who bothers
to participate in the discussions.

I am also looking forward to this list, because it may take some of
the pressure of the St. Paul Issues list, as a better forum is made
available for these Metro Wide Issues.

Lets talk Urban Sprawl..........

That'll get me going..........

Especially after I get back from my two week vacation in L.A. California.
