I highly dislike searching list archives. Even if I know exactly what to search for, I could still wind up with numerous hits and have to search post after post to find the one that I'm looking for--if I manage to find it at all.
Personally, I like the thought of a wiki being part of the TCP web site. Rather than us having to wait for Lisa to have the time to put something on the site, we can add it ourselves. The wiki wouldn't replace the list or change it in the least, but it would enhance the web site. As others have said, there's a need for a knowledge repository that's easy to use. A TCP wiki could easily fill that need. If I or someone else have the urge to summarize an interesting/relevant topic on a wiki page, that saves me or someone else the grief of having to read every post in a long thread later on when we may need the information NOW. Not everyone may have the time to add anything to a wiki, but it's not a requirement that you do. If you feel the urge and have the time, go ahead. If you don't, don't. It's obvious that we all have very different ideas of what a wiki is for. Maybe Lisa can step up now and give us her thoughts on whether or not she's going to try to bring one in and what it will be for?
