What are your resolutions this year in regards to Technical
Communication and/or your job, and how do you plan to fulfill them?

Here's mine:
1. Learn XML and be able to implement DITA in Structured
FrameMaker.
How will I accomplish this: I have the XML Weekend Crash Course
book/cd, the Structured
Frame training book set, and the DITA book by Jen Linton. I was
supposed to work on
it over Christmas, but as usual, I had more work than I knew
what to do with.
My goal is to complete the self-training by the end of January.

2. Attend the STC Conference in Minneapolis. This will be my first
STC Conference ever!
Our group took two Distinguished awards at the chapter level,
which moves us on to the
International Competition. (and I'll take this chance to
publicly pat my co-worker
Donna on the back for being the primary writer on both of them!)

3. more to come...
