Hi Carol,

I don't know of any way to change the vertical position of something
that has been superscripted in Frame. 

Go to the Character Designer for your superscript character tag and make
sure that all of the items other than Superscript at set to As Is (for
the items with check boxes, click them until the check box has a gray
check mark). Set the registered trademark back to default font, and then
apply the superscript character tag again.
