Option 1: Use Framescript if you have it. One of the scripts it came with does this (Change Xref formats).
Option 2: Note: This only works if the "new" format isn't used in your doc yet. 1. Delete the "new" format from your list of xref formats. Be sure to keep a template file that does have the new name/formatting defined it. 2. In each document, rename your old xref format to the new name, without changing anything else.
