The best writer I personally knew said that if you
were a good talker, and knew a good story, the rest
was research and practice. There may be a "creative
writer" inside many of us.

One of the writers I mentioned is someone I work with
on a daily basis. He does not like the term "creative
writing," and prefers fiction, and is of the opinion
that the worst thing a writer can do is spend time in
"creative writing" classes. He is easily the
second-best writer I've known, and might well be the
first when his book comes out, so I'm inclined to
believe.

My only stories are goofy satires like that bad sci-fi
about Microsoft Word taking over the globe. Is it
"creative"? More like cretinous, if that's a word, but
I enjoy it ;)
