The difference that I have observed is that all successful creative writers develop mechanisms to deal with writers block, in some cases to the point where the adjustment becomes second nature. Orson Scott Card has probably the most famous example from the sci-fi side of things. He says that when he runs into writer's block, he views it as a sign that he's going down the wrong path, and he treats it as a tool, a mechanism that alerts him when he has somehow gone off-track. Instead of beating his head against the metaphorical wall, he backs up until he's on the right path and proceeds forward from there. -- John Cook Technical Writer / Help Author john dot cook at gmail dot com ______________________________________________ Author Help files and create printed documentation with Doc-To-Help.
