Hi Lisa, A word of advice on your business plan: make sure you do your research. I've co-founded two magazines, helped start several businesses, and I have two businesses of my own. I was also a business reporter for a while and saw many businesses start and all too many fail. Most failed because they extrapolated their basic research entirely too far, i.e., their expectations were exciting but unrealistic.
In most cases, the business founders were using off-the-shelf programs, such as Business Plan Pro, with personal assumptions for research and goal setting. When I co-founded my first magazine, we used the services of our local Small Business Development Center and the input was invaluable. (The magazine is still in publication and caters to an international audience.) While I didn't use them (SBDC) for my current businesses, I did use what I learned from them to research the markets and develop reachable goals...a big boat, a small house on a huge plot of land bordering a pristine mountain lake, a luxury hybrid SUV, a.....okay, maybe not those goals.
