What am I doing? Thanks to holiday traffic, I'm recuperating from my longer-than-usual drive from Michigan to Chicago on Sunday. I spent more than 9 hours driving when I can usually make it in less than 8. Because I made a few stops along the way, my total trip was 11 hours long. Ugh!
I'm not complaining, mind you. I like my job and am happy that I have it. But my body just can't take those long drives as well any more. Ouch! Donna (And because people always ask--no, flying isn't a viable option. Even with the high gas prices, it's still less than half the price for me to drive to Chicago as it is to fly. For some reason, the airlines think that the flight from the nearest semi-major airport to Chicago is worth more than $400.
