IPsoft is seeking a New York City-based technical/marketing writer to join our busy, growing Communications Department. Responsibilities * Write and edit RFP responses, proposals and related documents in conjunction with Business Development Executives, Account Managers and technical Subject Matter Experts. * Collaborate with Marketing staff on the development of marketing materials. * Write and edit white papers, case studies, articles, and other related materials at the direction of management. * Develop programmer, administrator and end-user documentation and training for customer accounts, based on customizations and original programming work performed by IPsoft developers and consultants. * Develop, edit and review PowerPoint presentations and related materials at the direction of management. * Candidates must be willing to work irregular and long hours (nights and weekends) when deadlines require it. Required Experience * A four-year undergraduate degree * Minimum: one to three years of experience in a commercial technical writing environment (IT strongly preferred) * At least three writing samples for evaluation and discussion * Demonstrated mastery of documentation software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; Adobe Acrobat; a graphics editing package such as Photoshop, etc.) * References indicating a proven track record of working well with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) AND with non-technical managers and project stakeholders Preferred Experience * Proposal/RFP experience * Marketing communications experience * Project management experience (on documentation projects) * Experience with ITIL best practices (ideally, Foundation-certified) (also good: Six Sigma, CMMI, other process improvement/quality assurance methodologies) About IPsoft IPsoft (http://www.ipsoft.com), founded in 1998, is an industry-leading managed services provider offering a complete solution to enterprise customers for outsourcing global IT infrastructure operations.
