Hello I am sorry for the inconvinience. I just installed tcpdump 3.6 (I had 3.4) and it is clear that the bug already has been resolved. Thanks again for a great program Leo Smiers -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Leo Smiers Verzonden: woensdag 29 augustus 2001 15:04 Aan: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Onderwerp: BUG Report on i386 linux Hello I would like to inform you of the following bug on linux-i386. When a bootp request answer is displayed the bootp options are interpreted. The displaying of the BS field is however wrong. The low and hight byte are in the wrong order. example: 14:49:35.781807 eth0 B cerberus.bootps > 255.255.255.255.bootpc: xid:0x4207198e Y:172.22.19.105 S:PlayStation ether 0:40:42:7:19:8e file "os9boot.cs1-030" vend-rfc1048 SM:255.255.0.0 BS:53517 In this example the BS field shows the value 53517 (0xd10d) this should be 3537 (0xdd1), a common case of low and high byte order mistake. I hope this bug report will enable you to enhance the perfect program tcpdump. Thanks for the program Leo Smiers - This is the TCPDUMP workers list.
