A fresh copy of 2.4.10 from kernel.org seems OK too.  However,
I didn't use _exactly_ the same kernel configuration as I did
with the RedHat version of 2.4.10.  I'll try do both versions
of 2.4.20 tomorrow with identical configs on the same machine.
