Hi there,

I was wondering if there are any plans to get our a release of tcpdump
and/or libpcap which contains the security fixes in place? Anyone
downloading the source from the webpage will get versions with known
exploits in them.

Also I am hoping that someone can update (in both packages) the
config.guess and config.sub files (both from automake) which assist
in platform detection. Linux hppa and arm need newer ones. When I had
access to a HPUX box I recall a similiar prob. on those as well.

The support in the CVS version for TokenRing, FrameRelay (and ISDN?)
would be an added bonus too.

Also, is it expected that filtering works on the loopback device, e.g:

$ tcpdump -i lo port 80

$ tcpdump -d -i lo -s 99999 -x port 9884

Finally, I have heard about an IIOP patch which was located at:
<URL: http://alix.int-evry.fr/~defude/analyseur-iiop.html>
but I can no longer find it there (or indeed anywhere). Does anyone
else have a better pointer?

Anand
