The conference will be held June 1-3, 2006 at Messiah College, Grantham, PA. (Near Harrisburg) Registration including lodging and meal is only $130.00. 30 paper proposals have been accepted.
Keynote speakers are LIZ HOLLANDER, Executive Director of Campus Compact on the topic, "Education for Faith, Spirituality and Active Citizenship: Compatible or Conflicting Aims?" and SHARON SHIELDS from Vanderbilt University who is an expert on community partnerships. Her topic is, "Faith, Vocation, Communities, and Transformation: The Interconnections of Personal, Professional, and Social Passions" 30 paper proposals have been accepted. Topics include reports of empirical research, innovative and model programs, conceptual issues, spirituality and service-learning, community partnerships and others. In 2004 about 150 teaching and co-curricular faculty, administrators and staff of service-learning programs from a diverse group of institutions attended. Because of a Lilly Foundation grant, registration which includes meals and lodging in single air-conditioned dorm rooms is $130.00. Commuter rate of $40.00 does not include meals which can be purchased separately. Registration deadline is April 15, 2006. Lodging is available at local motels at additional cost.
