Hi, Phlogiston uses the term Project to refer to *all of the work that a team is responsible for and doing*, which is not really what Phabricator uses it for. So it's probably past time to change that in Phlogiston. It's called project, source, project_source, and source_prefix in the code. Examples include "Team Practices Group", "VisualEditor", "Reading Web", "iOS". My first idea for a replacement is *team*. Is there a better term?
Phlogiston uses Milestone to refer to *a collection of tasks that have isolated from other tasks by one or more criteria* (membership in a project, projectcolumn, or parent task) for purposes of reporting in isolation from other tasks. This term has lots of different meanings to different people, often with a connotation of finite-ness that is not necessarily what it means in Phlogiston. The last straw is that Phabricator now uses this term for a special kind of sub-project. Other things this has been called: Tranche. Category. Bucket. Examples include - Make VisualEditor good enough to use with all common IMEs for Japanese - TPG Essential Functions - Quick Surveys - RTL - Gadgets 2.0 I'm thinking of the fairly generic term "*category*", which isn't in common usage in WMF teams I've worked with. Is there a better terms? Is anyone using this to mean something? *--Joel Aufrecht* Team Practices Group Wikimedia Foundation
