My wife and I have both gotten calls from the Caribbean on our cell phones, but there isn't anyone there. I recall some years ago there was a scam where someone would con people into calling some number in the Caribbean and it would act like a 900 number here, but usually cost many times more and the phone company wouldn't do anything about it when you complained.

Is this a new version of the same old scam? Call a phone and hope someone calls you back so you can stick them will excessive charges? There's no reason for someone in Grenada to call me nor for someone in Antigua to call my wife.

Thanks,
Jim.
