Hi William, Interesting thought. I haven't read anything about that. Everything seems to be geared around replacement at about $ 10 each. These motors are about 3/8" x 1" in size, so it would be quite a challenge of dexterity to rebuild one. Once my budget gets over about $ 250 for an aircraft, I can go brushless. There seems to be no such solution for the cheap ones though.
