Watch the method of communication.  We bought some MS units and have  
been very disappointed in the range (only about 4').  Some models are  
IR which requires line of site with the receiver.  Others use  
Bluetooth (with all its inherent issues).  Some use 2.4ghz others  
900mhz or other frequencies.  I just bought a logitech using 27mhz  
which if I recall is in the CB radio band - not much activity there  
any more so it should be relatively free of interference.
