I did some testing about 6mos ago on this topic. I had a couple different models and ended up choosing MS 3000. (http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=1795351 )
We use it in a conference room setting where it needed to reach 40ft and also through a drywall closet (pc in closet). It's really performed well, the only downside is that the mouse laser does not auto shutoff on its own. It requires the USB key to return into the bottom of the mouse in order for the laser to shutoff. I say that as a bad thing, but in 6mos of regular "boardroom" use, I haven't had to swap batteries yet either.
