*Palos Heights School District 128 Technology Assistant*

The Technology Assistant position is a part-time (with potential of becoming
a full-time) position primarily focused on assisting in the overall
operation and maintenance of the District’s network including users,
workstations, and peripherals.



This position reports directly to the District’s Technology Director.



*Duties and Responsibilities*

·      Provide computer technical support to all District users

·      Install new hardware and software

·      Assist in maintaining:

o   Laptops for junior high 1-to-1 program

o   District laptops and workstations

o   District printers and network copiers

o   District faculty and student network accounts

o   District audio/video equipment

o   District physical and wireless networks

o   Asset inventory database of hardware and software licenses

·      Assist the Technology Director as needed





*Essential Skills*

·      Ability to:

o   Work well with others and assist staff and students courteously

o   Be aware of the security of students, staff, and District property

o   Lift, carry, and setup computer and audio/visual equipment

o   Maintain confidentiality of staff and student personnel records

o   Maintain confidentiality of student issues, concerns, and discipline
issues





*Experiences / Skill Requirement*

·      Experience in Macintosh hardware installation, configuration,
maintenance, and troubleshooting

·      Strong people and written communication skills

·      Ability to lift over 50lbs

·      Certification like A+/Network+ or any Macintosh certifications are
considered a plus

·      Other combination of education and work experience which could
provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and ability to perform this job
will be considered





*Term of Employment:* 12 months and 8 hours per day
